about

Donair Corner in Halifax is truly the last stop after closing time. If you have hooked up with someone, then you probably aren't getting a slice of donair pizza at 2am, swaying with all of the other wayfarers who have also submitted to hammering the last nail in their social coffins for the night.

lyrics

Fallen from the means he had before him
Tried to do what everyone else had done
It’s so hard to be new

So he waited for the sky to fall upon him
A star insofar, but no one cared
It’s so hard to talk in travel

With his gold band, on his stone hands
He moves to tell her, but she slips away again

The differences that rose to be barriers
Surround him as he watched the fire light
It’s so hard to do right

T’was just a case of tainted memory
His thought were all deranged and confused
Now it’s so hard to undo

Eatin’ donairs, missing long hair
Says, “I can’t wait to see her, but I’m down and out again”.

Introspective and narrative, Brian hangs out in the gray zone between advocating and mourning, ambition and uncertainty..
